Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Party Binder (partybinder.app), including the planner, the calculators, RSVP pages and optional Google sign-in. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

The service

• Party Binder is a free tool for planning parties: checklists, budgets, guest lists, RSVPs, shared decisions and similar features.
• It's provided as is, as a small independent project. Features may change, and the service may be paused or discontinued. If we shut it down, we'll try to give notice on the site so you can export your parties.
• Calculators and suggestions (food quantities, budgets, checklists) are rough estimates, not professional advice. Use your own judgment, especially for allergies, alcohol, food safety and anything involving guests' health or safety.

Your account and your content

• You don't need an account. If you sign in with Google, you're responsible for activity under your account. Sign out on shared devices.
• What you put in a party (names, notes, guest details) belongs to you. You give us permission to store and display it only as needed to run the service, for example syncing it to your co-planners and showing RSVP pages to people you share links with.
• Only add other people's information (like guests' names and dietary needs) for planning your event. Anyone with a co-planner link can view and edit that party, and anyone with an RSVP link can see its name, date, time, location and invitation message. Share links carefully.
• Keep your own copy of anything important. Use Export. Data stored only in your browser disappears if you clear it, and we can't recover it.

Acceptable use

Don't use Party Binder to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights
• harass people, send spam, or collect other people's personal information for anything other than your event
• upload malicious code, probe or overload the service, get around rate limits, or access parties you weren't given a link to
• sell alcohol, tickets or other regulated goods through the site, or organize events you aren't legally allowed to hold.

We may remove content or block access that breaks these rules or puts the service or other people at risk.

Your events are your responsibility

Party Binder helps you organize. It doesn't host, run or insure events, and it isn't a party to any agreement between you and venues, caterers, vendors or guests. You're responsible for your event, including safety, permits, alcohol laws, waivers and guests' allergies.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Party Binder is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, and accuracy of estimates. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost data, or anything arising from events planned with the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $0, since the service is free, or the minimum amount the law allows if that's higher. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we store and why. It's part of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll note it on the site. Continuing to use Party Binder after changes means you accept them. You can stop anytime and delete your account from the account menu.
